These delicious dark red berries are high in Vitamin C, A, Calcium, Iron, Potassium and other minerals, as well as having no cholesterol. Also, more and more research is now showing that cherries have significant anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

Tart cherries are an excellent source of compounds with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. These compounds may be beneficial in protecting against cancer, heart disease and other illnesses and may help relieve the pain of gout and/or arthritis. As a recent Newsweek article said "The day when doctors say--'Take 10 cherries and call me in the morning'--may not be far off."
